Laid in is a letter from Bertram Rota from 1960 concerning this copy; he apologizes that the owner's order for Rota's first copy of The Informer, one with Dennis Wheatley's bookplate, was already sold, but he is happy to offer this copy. The Wheatley copy sold at auction in 2000 for $2755.00.
