The New York philanthropist, and developer of Bon Ami cleanser, Eversley Childs, was an early patron of Odgen Pleissner. The two frequently fished together and Childs introduced Pleissner to shooting and thereby a new set of sporting subjects (see Bergh, The Art of Ogden M. Pleissner, 1984, p. 10).
