A powerful, dungaree-cladworker with the torch of Liberty in one hand and a sword in the otheris straddling a waterway from which ships are emerging, against a yellow and orange background. Never turned into an actual poster, this image was an entry in a competition sponsored by the "U.S. Shipping Board Poster Competition". A label from this competition is affixed on the verso.
