An album depicting the U.S. Military Academy West Point class of 1882 including a purported portrait of Lieutenant Willard Young (son of Brigham Young), prominent member of The Church of Latter Day Saints. Includes 72 cabinet card portraits of captains, cadets, professors, and lieutenants, many of them with impressive whiskers, beards, mustaches, and muttonchops, and 15 scenic views. Cabinet cards (72), each 5 1/4x3 3/4 inches (13.3x9.5 cm.), and albumen prints (15), each 6 1/2x8 1/2 inches (16.5x21.6 cm.), inserted into windows recto/verso and one or 2 per page; many pages autographed. Large oblong 4to, all edges gilt. 1882
