STUDY FOR THE PAINTING PAUL CADMUS
What I Believe.
Pen and black and brown ink over pencil with white gouache heightening on grayish-buff laid paper, circa 1947. 205x330 mm; 8x13 inches. Signed in ink, lower left
A preparatory study for the painting, with an alternative composition figural around the larger standing couple. The painting was inspired by E. M.
