PERON, JUAN. Typed Letter Signed, to Dr. D. Emilio Zenon Borso, in Spanish, a lengthy letter written while in exile about the future of his movement in Argentina and the possibilities of civil war. 1 page, single 4to sheet. Madrid, 14 February 1970
- Notes: "... I believe that time, which usually is the best counselor of rational men, is teaching us what is best for the advancement of our Movement. It is precisely this advice that I have tried to permanently instill in all peronistas... From the news I receive, it seems that things, at present, are taking a turn for the better, but I harbor no illusions, and not until all our people convince themselves of the necessity of forging a unified force... The situation in the country and in the military dictatorship offers no hope... The present state of the struggle, which affects every aspect of the life of the Nation, can only end in dangerously violent activities, because according to my information, the revolutionary war has begun in various parts of the Republic, and it is very possible that if it spreads, it will reach irreversible proportions, which could even lead to civil war..."
