- Notes: first edition, large-paper issue, of the lavish catalogue of the theological portion of the important library formed by the Duke of Sussex (173-1843), sixth son of George III, comprising Bibles, medieval manuscripts, and early printed books . with an undated 4-page als from thomas frognall dibdin to Pettigrew, presenting a copy of one of Dibdin's Tours to the Duke in return for the gift of the catalogue of the latter's library. From the library of Robert Hoe, though without his bookplates (sale, 24 April 1912, lot 2507: "This appears to be the only copy known with the plates in three states").
