A tintypist's display piece, with 9 sixth-plate tintypes in an oak frame, each an example of portarits of one or two men. The men are posed in a variety of settings, some with a studio backdrop, most of the men posed on chairs, and most with a subtle rose hand-tinting in their cheeks. The frame with a fluted design. 1890s

  • Notes: with--An illustrated French catalogue for photographic jewelry, offering hundreds of items of jewelry, plus a few frames, almost all with places for an inserted photograph. Most Victorian in style, but with some Art Nouveau pieces. Oblong 8vo, printed wrappers, slightly worn. Frankfortmain: Julius Schloss & Co., Nd (circa 1910-15).
