Jim Hodge hung at high Noon from derrick on construction work of court house - witnessed by thousands of people. No confession made by Negro;A quiet but determined lot.Young lady slow to identify...Men do the work quickly." An account of the execution noted that "The Tyler mob utilized the hoisting equipment at the construction site on May 1, 1909.This was done during lunch hour when workmen were away."
