[ Photographs ] (Aviation) A group of 133 photographs from between the wars comprising press photos of distance and speed record breakers, aviatrix Amy Johnson with Charles Chaplin and Bernard Shaw, numerous aviators including a "fly boy" having his zipper adjusted (by a male comrade), publicity photos documenting the early years of commercial aviation and including Imperial Airways, TWA, a Lufthansa Heinkel HE 76, a Pan American clipper, a KLM DC- 3 and aerial views of German Airports; as well as other airplanes including the Boeing 314 and Shetland flying boats, Wright-Bellanca monoplane, Boeing 307 Stratoliner, Lockheed 12, Constellation, Vickers Viscount, The Spirit of St. Louis, and German and British military aircraft. Silver prints, various sizes, from 3 x 4 to 8 x 10inches, one with an E.O Hoppe handstamp and the others with picture agency handstamp on recto. 1920s 1940s
