[ Photographs ] (Burma) Pair of Burmese albums containing a total of 107 photographs, the first with 56 prints, the second with 51 prints, including views of Mandalay, the "Center of the Universe Palace," the "Incomparable Pagoda," the "Golden Pagoda," the "Monster Pagoda" and other ornately carved pagodas, portraits of Burmese princesses and young women in native costume, Buddhist monks, Kachin tribesmen, punishment by crucifixion, young dancers, the city of Rangoon, and the British colonialists in costume for a fancy dress ball. Albumen prints 4 x 5.5in to 7.5 x 10.5inches or the reverse, mounted one or 2 per page with pencil or ink captions recto only for the first album and recto and verso for the second.
