A. Williams, depicting a chubby-cheeked girl in a belted, very pink dress; as well as a daguerreotype of a stern-faced little girl seated on a spindle chair and gripping a pin cushion; an Anson image of an older girl in her frock with one hand on the back of a wooden chair; a wonderful portrait of a relaxed toddler wearing an off-the-shoulder dress and pink socks and leaning back in a flowered divan; a portrait of a sister and her younger brother, both with pink tinting; a straight-backed little girl holding a red-rimmed card in her hands; and, the quarter-plate, a cherubic girl sitting crosswise on a flowered chair with a heart-shaped locket around her neck; all but 2 with hand coloring: the Williams and the Anson with the photographer's name and logo imprinted on the velvet case pad; 7 in full leather cases, 2 separated at the hinge, and one case in black lacquer with silver wire and mother-of-pearl inlay (see Berg 6-89 for variant). 1850s
