Middle 1850s E1000-1500 The building at the foreground of this image (which bears the name "A. W Colby" above its door) was built by a Mr. Ormel Griffin in the early 1850s. The church behind it was dedicated in 1855 Both structures in the upstate New York town of Rushford are no longer extant, and, with the exception of this plate, there are no known photographs of the town or its buildings.
