Vols., Aug. 22, 1862-June 21, 1865" comprising 7 group portraits, probably taken at Fort Delaware, of war weary soliders, including one posed with an artillery gun, and another image depicting the band with its instruments. Oval albumen prints, 5.25 x 7.25inches, on the photographer's original gilt-ruled "Chestnut Street, Philadelphia" mounts. 4to, gilt-stamped leather, worn, lacking backstrip and split into 3 gatherings. 1865 E800-1200 Independent Battery "G," Light Artillery was organized at Harrisburg, performed garrison duty at Fort Delaware throughout the war, and was mustered out on June 15, 1865 While they never saw action in the field, nine of their numbers were lost to disease.
