E3000-4000 Louis-Alphonse Davanne (1824-1870), a chemist and photographer born in Paris was a founding member of the Societe Francaise de Photographie. he was an important, and honored figure in early photographic history, whose projects included work with the publisher Lerebours to create a set of photolithographs made from Henri Le Secq's negatives.
