An archive relating to David F Barry, a Superior, Wisconsin photographer noted for his "Photographs of Au Noted Indian Chiefs," featuring an Als dated 10 June, 7 photographs of Sioux burial rites, comprising 4 of a grave site, 2 studio studies of an "Indian mother at gravel" and a single image of wrapped bodies set on platforms in trees; as well as blank sheets of Barry's stationery, with engravings of Chief Gall and Sitting Bud at top. Silver prints, 10 x 8 inches and smaller, with Barry's blindstamp on recto or his label on verso; one is a copy print triplicates and duplicates. 1880s; printed 1910s E1800-2200 with - -A photograph entitled "A Hanging in Cow Country," and another of "Curley Crow Indian scout. " Silver prints, 5x 6.5 and 3.25 x 2.25inches. AND A carbon copy of a letter to Sen. Lynn J. Frazier (from Barry?), dated April 19, 1928, and a TLS from L. H. Babbitt to Usher Burdick, dated April 17, 1928
