[ Photographs ] (New Mexico) Important album containing 72 photographs relating to Santa Fe, New Mexico and outlying areas, with many fascinating snapshots that capture the unique mix of Anglo, Indian, and Hispanic cultures that contribute to this enchanting region. The album features picturesque snapshots of the plaza and Palace of Governors: views of a festive Our Lady of Guadalupe processional, other pics of a Catholic processional; a series of images documenting a highly patriotic parade, with the plaza draped in American flags and uniformed soldiers on horseback, and additional snaps of military drills in the mountains; views of San Miguel Church and indigenous architecture; colorful prints of a Hopi(?) ceremony with sun sensitive Anglos (holding black umbrellas) in attendance; candid portraits of Native-Americans posing with handmade baskets and pottery; and store facades (including one with signage that reads "Gold"). Printing-out paper prints, 7 are 4.25 x 6inches and 65 are 3 25 x 3inches. Oblong 4to, morocco-backed cloth, worn, rear cover detached. Circa 1900
