Albumen prints, various sizes, from 2.25 x 3.75 to 5.25 x 7inches, mounted one per page recto and verso with pencil captions. Small 4to, 1/2 leather, covers detatched. 1860s E4000-6000 A rather extraordinary colonial album, apparently done by an accomplished amateur, both for its highly aesthetic documentary approach and its apparent sensitivity in representing native life and customs.
