This image appears in Gordon Hendricks's monograph The Photographs Of Thomas Eakins pl. 151, p. 109 Eakins apparently used this image as the basis for a portrait of the poet. Recent scholarship has indicated, however, that the study may have been taken by one of Eakins students.
