Partly-printed Document Signed, as President, ordering the Secretary of State to affix the Seal of the U.S. to "my Proclamation of the Convention between the United States & the Two Sicilies, concluded & signed at Naples on the 1st of October 1855." 1 page, square 8vo, pale blue paper; lower edge trimmed irregularly, faint marginal discoloration from prior matting, short closed tears at horizontal folds repaired verso with tissue, minor scattered abrasions, remnants of hinging at upper edge verso, horizontal folds. Washington, 10 December 1856

On October 1, 1855, representatives of the U.S. and the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies signed the Convention of Amity, Commerce, Navigation, and Extradition, regulating the trade of cotton and wine. In 1861, the Kingdom became part of Italy, making the agreement obsolete.
