Having spent some time in Cassandre's studio as an assistant, Fix-Masseau was very influencedby the style of his master. Cassandre's influence is obvious in Fix- Masseau's railway posters, such as Cote d'Azur or Exactitude. This work is a good example of his Art Deco style at its best: a stylized red hand in the fore front arrests the eye, and in the background, theclever use of the airbrush shows a car in a snowy winter surrounding. ref.
