extra-illustrated first edition. This copy includes five 17th Century Salisbury, Massachusetts manuscript documents, as well as an Autograph Letter Signed by the author. The early documents are contemporary true copies relating to Thomas Bradbury (1610-1694/95) with four in his hand. Two concern the impressment of a horse following King Philip's War, the third is a land deed and the fourth a manuscript concerning a fence between Salisbury and Hampton. The final colonial manuscript is in the hand of Henry True, recording the death Bradbury.
