This is definitely a sister poster to de Valerio's image of the same theme (see lot 71), and certainly as good. The construction of the two is similar, with big blocks of text and red, white and blue planes flying at a diagonal. Chassaing's idea, however, was to add a nicely drawn, detailed, diving plane, flying out of formation with the others, adding an exciting, dynamic element to the image. He also adds the suggestion of a row of hangars at the bottom, cleverly representing the ground above which the planes are soaring.
