[PLATH, SYLVIA.] Lucas, Victoria; pseud. The Bell Jar. 8vo, green cloth stamped in silver, top edge slightly bumped; dust jacket, minor fading to front cover, otherwise near fine, with no other wear. London: Contemporary Fiction, Heinemann, 1964
- Notes: bright copy of the first contemporary fiction edition. Published a year after the first edition and available only to members of the Readers Union. Though the book had been out for a year, Plath's authorship remained a mystery; the back of the jacket reads: "Victoria Lucas is a pseudonym, and we are not in a position to disclose any details of the author's identity."
