A study for a poster that is a perfect example of the French Art Deco School. Although it is accomplished, as it is unsigned, it is likely the work of a young artist working anonymously in a large studio. Using a book and an overly-large and out-of-perspective piece of type, the artist creates a three dimensional image that visually emphasizes printing. His bold use of sans serif typography further strengthens the composition.
