A Fokker F VIII is making its way over the Dutch countryside taking visitors to Amsterdam, where, in 1928 The IX Olympic Games were held. The Fokker F VIII went into service in 1927. Only ten were constructed, of which six went to KLM. This poster exists in at least three known variants, the others use the tag line "See Twice as much of Europe in Half the Time." This exceptional and rare cross-promotional piece is the only example known to evoke the Olympic Games as a reason for filling seats on planes. Airline Artistry p. 37 (var)
