The artist who designed this image (and the next lot) sadly did not sign his (or her) work. They are each brilliant examples of pure, French Art Deco stylization. The inventive image of the sailor is an impressive amalgam of geometric forms and shapes, set against a background as curvaceous as his fellow cyclist. Most likely these were not intended to be posters, but perhaps decorative panels.
