Folio, plates loose and housed in plastic sleeves, letterpress matter gathered into paper folders; many plates with nicks and soiling at edges; some with graphite; colored pencil, or inked notes in margins (most removable), a few of the images with staining and other defects, sometimes on the image. - Notes: This set of the famous Les Maitres was used by the Dover Press for its reproduction of the work, accounting for the marginal notations and other defects. Many of the plates are unmarked and clean.
