PRODUCTION BIRD CAGE. Filled with live birds when shown to the audience, the cage is then collapsed with the birds disappearing. The magician can make them reappear outside the cage in any place he chooses. Painted in purple with floral decorations in white, gray, and gilt. 10x9 1/2x9 1/2 inches (25.5x24.5x24.5 cm). France, circa 1910.
