RACKHAM, ARTHUR. Autograph Letter Signed, to Frank Crowninshield, art editor of Century Magazine, declining an offer to illustrate an article by Lady Hellier, explaining that "it confines itself to so limited a class, so rigidly from the point of view of that class, that an illustrator could but be tempted to adopt at once the role of satirist" and also describing 4 drawings that he is planning for another article and closes by recommending Reginald Cheever for the Hellier article. 4 pages, folded 8vo sheet, Chalcot Gardens stationery. South Hampstead, 21 September 1910

- Notes: Although protesting in this letter, he must have had a change of heart at he did end up illustrating the article, published in the June 1911 issue of Century Magazine.
