- Notes: Map is based on the Union Pacific map of the same name published earlier in 1867 in a report titled "The Union Pacific Railroad from Omaha . . . making . . . an Unbroken Line [etc.]" (see Rumsey 1173 for a discussion of the map). This French version is far superior to its American counterpart, having been taken from a steel plate rather than a woodblock.
