A hand-pulled lithograph from Hirschfeld's Paris days. The inscription reads "To Albert and Frances [Hackett] because they have the good sense to own a [Beauford] Delaney - Al"
The Hacketts, long-time friends of Hirschfeld's, went on to a storied career as screenwriters for such movies as "The Thin Man," "'Easter Parade," and " The Diary of Anne Frank."
