Part of a long series on world geography titled l'Univers: Histoire et Description, this volume consists of 4 parts covering the Caribbean islands, the United States, Canada, and the Pacific coast (California, Oregon and Alaska). Curiously, the United States section is illustrated with 8 plates, and 4 of them depict our prisons. Hough Antilles 895, Palau 256194, Sabin 68924, but not in many of the relevant Americana works, such as Cowan on California, Lada-Mocarski on Alaska, or Howes.
