Etching and drypoint, circa 1641. 163x213 mm; 5 1/2x8 1/2 inches, small margins. Usticke's first state (e-i) (of 3), before the addition of aquatint. Indiscernible fragment of a watermark. Ex-collection Charles Delanglande (Lugt 660, verso). A very good, well-inked impression with burr on and around the kneeling figure lower left and on the horse's bridle, and with the densest area of cross-hatching in the upper left showing clearly. Bartsch 40; Biörklund 41-1; Hollstein (White and Boon) 40.
