Etching and drypoint, circa 1640. 96x148 mm; 3 7/8x5 7/8 inches. Usticke's only state (l), without the "rainy sky" and no traces of sulphur tinting in the lower right background. Partial Paschal lamb on a shield watermark (Ash/Fletcher 29 A b, which they date to around 1649). Trimmed inside the plate mark, though with nearly all of the subject preserved, expertly restored losses 4 corners. A very good, early impression with all the details printing clearly.
