Folio, 540x375 mm, contemporary 1/2 black straight-grained morocco, with gilt lettering and decorated raised bands along spine, extremities rubbed with loss at spine ends and tips, front cover fore edge bumped; mild offsetting and foxing to frontispiece and title, occasional small clean marginal tears, lacks overslip for plate 18, final double-page folding plate lacks right side overslip, creased along top, and with marginal tear repaired with tissue.
