Boston artist Richard Yarde is known for his bold, large watercolors whose imagery reflect his memories of his youth. His paintings are found in many museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Studio Museum of Harlem, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. Yarde is a Professor of Art at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
