Notes: from the estate of arthur rickerby, who was a staff photographer at "Life" magazine. Rickerby traveled to Dallas with President Kennedy, lived with Japanese prisoners in a Guam POW camp, and worked with Steichen in the elite U. S. Navy photographic unit.
