We have found only 3 other impressions at auction in the past 20 years; each sold at Swann Galleries. Not in Gelburd/Rosenberg.
Romare Bearden was a featured speaker at a Festival of Black Culture held at the US Air Force Academy in April, 1973. He donated two posters and this screenprint, with the proceeds benefiting the Sickle Cell Anemia Fund. When the owner purchased the work, Bearden signed and titled the print in pencil for him.
