ROOSEVELT, THEODORE. Typed Letter Signed, as President, to Elisha Ely Garrison, stating that Roosevelt would introduce [Robert Grier] Cook to [Louis Arthur] Coolidge, noting that he should expect a letter from Coolidge, and, in a holograph postscript: "I am very much obliged for all you are doing, and deeply appreciate it." 1/2 page, 4to, White House stationery, with integral blank; minor scattered fading to signature and text, horizontal fold; matted with a portrait and framed. Washington, 10 May 1904

    In 1904, Robert Grier Cooke published The Roosevelt Doctrine, in which he is credited as compiler.
    Louis Arthur Coolidge (1861-1925) was asked by Roosevelt in 1904 to direct the Republican Literary Bureau during his campaign; later, Roosevelt appointed him Assistant Secretary of the Treasury.
