  • Notes:
Roy Lichtenstein's Seven Apple Woodcuts followed his acclaimed series of brushstroke still life paintings. Lichtenstein's project with Petersburg Press began in 1982, with collage images photographically transferred to blocks and hand cut by Lichtenstein. In the traditional Japanese method, the series was printed with watercolor based inks, applied to the blocks with brushes, and pressed by hand on special handmade paper.
