ROY LICHTENSTEIN (after) Jobs Not Cheese!

ROY LICHTENSTEIN (after)
Jobs Not Cheese!...Moffett for Senator.

Offset color lithograph poster, 1982. 620x520 mm; 24 1/2x20 1/2 inches, full margins. Signed and numbered 13/300 in pencil, lower margin. A very good impression with strong colors.

Connecticut politician and Democrat Anthony John "Toby" Moffett (born 1944) unsuccessfully challenged the incumbent Repulican Connecticut U.S. Senator Lowell Weicker in the 1982 election. In support of Moffett's senatorial run, this poster responds to then President Ronald Reagan's infamous, "Let them eat cheese," quote referring to his stance on welfare recipients.
