With Orkin's signature, title, and negative, copyright, and print dates in ink on recto, and her signature and copyright and print dates, the sitter's name and title, and a notation "From the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art" in pencil on verso; accompanied by the original Agfa envelope with Orkin's address label.
The image 11 7/8 x 18 in. (30.2 x 45.7 cm.), the sheet 16 x 20 in. (40.6 x 50.8 cm.)

    Ruth Orkin; to the Present Owner, a New York artist, through Ninalee Craig (the subject of this iconic photograph) and her sister Joan Walker whose name also appears on the envelope

    WITH--Two photographs of Ninalee Craig at the Jeu de Paume in 1951, gifted by her to the Present Owner, with whom she was close friends, in June of 1996 when she came to New York to attend the 171st Annual Exhibition National Academy of Design. Both of photographs are by Armin Haab (1919-1991). Silver prints, the images 12 1/2 x 10 3/4 inches (31.7 x 27.3 cm.), and slightly smaller, the sheets slightly larger, both with Ninalee's signature, dates, and inscription in ink on recto, and one with Haab's credit in ink in her hand on verso.
