Group of 9 photographs of prominent regiments and military figures; 2 are signed. Salted paper (4) and albumen (5) prints, 6x8 to 12 1/2x10 1/4 inches (15.24x20.32 to 31.8x26 cm.) and the reverse, on the original mounts, 2 are signed on mount recto. 1861-65
The 4 salted paper prints are: "Fairfield, Boys, Co. H, 7th Regiment, New Jersey Volunteers" [View of members of an early New Jersey regiment, including brothers Benjamin F. and Elmer B. Ogden.] 1861 * Unidentified Naval Officers on Union Vessel. Circa 1862 * Captain Edmund/Edward Underwood 1862. [Captain Underwood was reported to have been killed at the Battle of Gettysburg.] 1863 * Unidentified Union Infantry Officer (hand colored) Circa 1864.
Albumen prints: Major General "Birdseye" McPherson 1863(?) Signed. "McPherson killed in action during battle of Atlanta 7/22/64" * Major General John Alexander Logan 'Black Jack' Signed, 1863(?) *Jefferson Davis, President, CSA 1889. Image of War, vol. VI, p. 441.
