SAMUEL, Rabbi, attributed to. Epistola di Maestro Samuelle ebreo, doue apertamente si dimostrano gl'Errori de' Giudei. Italian translation by Gregorio Lombardelli. 135, [8] pages, including final leaf with woodcut of St. John the Baptist. Small 8vo, 18th-century Italian vellum; some foxing. Florence: Stampa Ducale (for the sons of Lorenzo Torrentino & Carlo Pettinari), 1568
- Notes: first lombardelli edition of a widely disseminated anti-Judaic tract supposedly written in Arabic by a Moroccan apostate Jew at the beginning of the 11th century and translated into Latin by a Spanish Dominican in the 14th century, but more likely composed by the latter. EJ II, 607.
