Two-sheet engraved map, 600x920 mm, ample or wide margins; hand-colored in outline; a bit tattered at the edges (generally outside the platemark, but with a few edge tears extending into the gradients), masking tape at edges on verso, extraneous vertical creases next to centerfold. - Notes: A nice large depiction of the entire east coast of the U. S. (extending as far west as the Mississippi) and with a good mapping of Canada and the Great Lakes. In addition, there is an inset of Boston harbor. Although undated, the map is after Morden's English map of 1695 and is sometimes found bound in editions of the Neptune Francois or in Jaillot's Atlas Nouveau. McCorkle 695.7.
