- Notes: The map was issued separately in 1651 and 1652, then as part of the various editions of Sanson''s atlas Cartes Generales de toutes les Parties du Monde. The atlas was revolutionary in introducing the new French style of map presentation, with its pure and simple lines unadorned by allegorical elements. Shirley 390.
