Satge was an artist working in Marseille who only has a small handful of posters to his credit which all pertain to local events. Here, promoting a local festival he has created a charming, colorful and lively scene in the highest decorative style. The quality of the image owes a lot to Moullot, the top printer in the region, who had one of the best lithographic printing plants in France.
