This is number 66 of 300 numbered sets of Shackleton''s memoirs of his monumental 1907-09 Nimrod Expedition, known for crossing the Trans-Antarctic mountain range, making the first ascent and survey of Mount Erebus, and coming within a hundred miles of the South Pole.
