Shuttle In-Flight Jacket

Shuttle In-Flight Jacket. A light blue jacket of the same type as that used in space for shuttle missions up to the STS-51L accident. The jacket has two outer and two inner zippered pockets with a pocket on each upper sleeve. There is a NASA "Worm" and "Meatball" patch sewn on the front along with a triangular Space Shuttle patch. The upper left sleeve has a small U. S. flag. An interior label reads in part: "Item Jacket, Part No. 10101-20001-04, Serial No. N/A, Size M/R. MFG 4/83, ILC Space Systems." (ECR) ILC for NASA, 1983
